Italy Trip: Rome Part 2

It is so hard to go through vacation pictures. When you think you are done picking selects and deleting all the weird ones where my Dad has his eyes closed and mouth wide open, there's still more to go through. It doesn't help that ALL of us (Mom, Dad, Sister, Aunte, Husband and myself) had cameras. We looked super fobby with our camera straps wrapped around our necks and our trigger fingers stiff from taking so many damn pictures.

Being in Rome was probably my favorite part of the trip. I don't know if it was because it was the first city we visited and at the moment we jumped off the plane I was already impressed by the air quality... but I instantly fell in love.

I study so much Italian art during Art School that it is kinda a trip to see it in real life. Pictures really don't do any of it justice. My pictures will make you swoon a tad... but I promise when you are actually there you might just cry.

On our way to Vatican City

St. Peter's Basilica. Bigger and better than I imagined.

I have to watch Angels and Demons again.

The Colosseum.

Frickin' amazing.

My Daddy with his girls.

Jumpin' to the moon and back. :)

Hi Carlene,

I have been popping in and out of your blog ever since the time you made the Nano-Birds for your Save the Dates (I got married on 20/12/2008 and was looking for some inspiration).

Your work rocks and you really motivate me to try and get out of Commerce and go back to Uni to do Arts! (still contemplating).

*Sigh* Don't you just miss Rome! The marble, the architecture, the cobbled roads, the food, the arts and everything else that is Rome.

I am jealous of your pics! Hubby and I spent so much money on the trip that we had to work with our el' cheapo snapshot camera. If only we had a DSLR... makes such a difference.

Keep up the awesome work.

Lily =)

P.S. You and Sonny make such a freakin' cute couple together =D
